I have my iPhone under the protection of the best case that I have found on the market: Speck Toughskin. This product is awesome! I had my original iPhone in the Speck Toughskin and it kept my iPhone in mint condition following many, many drops on asphalt, concrete, basketball courts… You name it and my original iPhone probably got dropped upon it. The Speck Toughskin held up like a rubberized shock absorbing armor and my original iPhone is now my backup as I have upgraded to the iPhone 3G.
The new Speck Toughskin for iPhone 3G is even *better* than the original Toughskin. It’s massive rubber corners are sure to make the iPhone bounce like a ball should it get dropped. It’s literally like wrapping your iPhone in a Z-rated sports tire. I highly recommend the Speck Toughskin for your iPhone 3G to help keep it looking good as new if you should ever accidentally drop your iPhone. The bottom flips open to allow access to the dock connectors so you can dock your iPhone or use an FM transmitter as I do without having to remove the Toughskin from the iPhone. My only complaint is that the sticky rubber pulls your jeans pocket inside-out when you remove it, no big deal, just don’t carry your money clip in the same pocket as your iPhone 3G if you keep it in this case. Overall, a great product with a good chance of protecting your iPhone screen from getting cracked if it gets dropped.
